Ghost In The Mist seedlings

Ghost In The Mist is simply the best near white I've ever seen and used. It's not the whitest near white but definitely breeds for whiter seedlings and will clarify other colors. It's not the biggest but it will add size to seedlings. It also adds ruffling, branching and being a dormant will pass those hardy genetics on the seedlings. It's easy to use as the pollen is powerful and it will set pods nicely, too.  It's got two minor flaws; the blooms will hang up at times (not often) and because they are so large, they sometimes crowd each other at the top of the scape (but again, not often.)  It's limited and I expect it to sell out quickly.

early season cold morning bloom

Sea Shanty got our attention from the first bloom in the seedling beds. The rich vibrant play of color in the bloom was displayed on a medium tall scape with beautiful 5 way branching and it proved to be very fertile too. Blooms are sun and rainfast, holding well on the hottest days of summer.  There is some rebloom in years when we get adequate rainfall. Great parent!!!

Diva Don Don can show slightly different forms with petal width and ruffling altering due to heat and moisture. It sometimes shows faint midribs near the throat and the white edge can also vary in width throughout the season. It is a wonderful parent an makes an excellent display in the garden with 36" scapes and 5 way branching.

very rainfast and sunfast

another bloom

This carmine red rebloomer is very special for multiple reasons. Along with high scape density, it is a vigorous rebloomer, dependably sending up 2 sets of scapes and often a third...this year it sent up a fourth round!  It is extremely fertile, setting many bee pods and is a wonderful parent, passing on the rebloom trait to many of the seedlings.  You'll get a 6-7 week blast of color - and perhaps longer!

lineouts

Adena Daylight Dancer and Adena Replay Ready are 3/4 sibs and I can't heap enough praise on them. The lineout photos show the plants last summer in their 4th year in place in the middle of our worst drought in decades.  They had no extra water or fertilizer before, during or after the season. The photo at left shows both plants with ADD in front and ARR behind. You can see the difference in height between the two with ARR being about a foot taller than ADD.  Photos were taken with the first set of scapes in full bloom and rebloom scapes just beginning to open blooms.  These two and Adena Call Me Carmine (above) are the most dependable rebloomers I've hybridized in 30 years of work.  Not just another yellow, either or both will light up any dark spots in your garden with 6-7 weeks of bloom. If you purchase the red and one yellow, I'll send the other yellow in the box too, for free.

Not the best bloom or lineout photos but I wanted to show the seersucker texture, rainfastness and twisted ruffling that often appears on the blooms of Adena Replay Ready and also to show the height of ARR compared to ADD; ARR is often a foot taller at 48".  Both are outstanding plants and totally carefree here.
